Dear Fellow UCR Student Organization:
UCR'a annual Block Party is a great way to start the school year. It gives us a chance to
welcome new students and find those few souls who will become a part of our special group
of friends. Not to mention the fact that it is fun, fun, fun!!
As some of you already know, the Transfer Student Association helps ease the transition of
students transferring from a community college into our University. Many of these students
transfer after our Fall Quarter and miss our annual block party. So in order to further ease
the way into “university life,” TSA is hosting a “Welcome to UCR” event that will simulate a
smaller version of the Block Party. We encourage everyone to join us, especially those
newly formed groups who want to get their name amongst the student body.
We will be host three meetings in which we will be discussing this event in detail including
rules, regulations and all other necessities. Each meeting will be held at 6PM at the Transfer
& Reentry Services Center on th 12th, 13th and 14th of this month.
If you are interested in representing your organization but cannot attend one of these
meetings please contact our event coordinator, Johanne Ly, at 909-XXX-XXXX. We will be
more than happy to get you started.
